Cats Protection - Colne Valley

The Colne Valley Branch covers an area around Braintree and Halstead  in north Essex .

The branch is run by a committee of volunteers, and relaunched in 2007, after the previous long-serving co-ordinators stepped down. We rescue and rehome cats and kittens within our area and are actively involved in the trapping and neutering of feral cats.

We also seek to alleviate the problem of unwanted cats by offering information and advice about responsible cat ownership and promoting the benefits of neutering. Cats Protection also offers help towards the cost of neutering.

Despite being a very small branch, during 2009 we have helped and/or rehomed over 200 cats and have paid for the neutering of many, many more.
